68th East African Safari Rally

We designed these covers for Nissan Heritage to celebrate the return in 2020, after an 18-year-long absence, of Kenyaโ€™s iconic โ€˜East African Safari Rallyโ€™ to the FIA World Rally Championship. The championship featured the legendary 1970 Datsun Bluebird 1600 SSS, the 18th East African Safari Rally Winner.

The Safari Rally was first held in 1953 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. In 1960 it was renamed the East African Safari Rally and maintained that name until 1974, when it became the Safari Rally. East Africa Safari Rally rekindles the spirit of the famous 70โ€™s rally cars and earned an unassailable reputation as the worldโ€™s toughest rally.
